1. Who is responsible

Scott Gordon, trading as Crathes Audio, is responsible for personal information described in this notice.

This notice covers crathesaudio.com. The Crathes account service has its own privacy notice, shown before you use account features.

2. Information handled when you visit

The website does not contain analytics, advertising trackers or code that sets non-essential cookies. During the storefront soft launch, entering the shared access password sets a short-lived, secure cookie that is strictly necessary to remember access to the store. It is not used for analytics, advertising or account identification. The website also includes an optional pilot-interest form described below.

Hosting and security providers may process ordinary connection information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, requested page, date and time, browser details and security events. They may use strictly necessary cookies where required for delivery or abuse prevention.

The site currently loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google when displaying the site and may send Google your IP address, browser details and the referring page.

Following an account, licence or acquisition link takes you to account.crathesaudio.com. Information handled there is covered by the account privacy notice.

3. Pilot interest and product updates

If you request consideration for the Octavium Core pilot, Crathes Audio receives the email address you submit, the fact that you requested pilot consideration and ordinary security and delivery information associated with the submission. The request is reviewed by hand and may be accepted or declined. A request does not guarantee an invitation.

The separate product-updates checkbox is optional and is not pre-selected. If you select it, Crathes Audio records your choice and may send occasional product news, release updates, testing opportunities and offers. Crathes Audio does not sell your address or disclose it to others for their own marketing. You can withdraw this consent through the unsubscribe controls in a marketing email or by contacting support.

Resend processes the submitted address, internal pilot-list membership and product-update preference for Crathes Audio. Cloudflare Turnstile processes security information needed to distinguish genuine submissions from automated misuse. The form sends no password, account credential, activation material, payment information, audio or project file.

4. When you contact Crathes Audio

If you email support, Crathes Audio receives your email address, message, attachments and associated delivery information. This is used to answer you, provide product or account support, prevent misuse and keep an appropriate record of the request.

Do not send passwords, sign-in links, activation material or payment-card details by email.

5. Why information is used

Depending on the situation, information is handled because it is necessary to:

operate and secure the site and respond to misuse, in Crathes Audio’s legitimate interests;
review and respond to a pilot request, in Crathes Audio’s legitimate interests and to take steps you request before any contract;
respond to a request or provide support under a contract, or before entering one;
comply with a legal obligation; or
send product news and updates where you gave consent.

Information is shared only with providers needed for website delivery, security and email; professional advisers where necessary; or authorities where legally required. Crathes Audio does not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, Crathes Audio relies on a lawful transfer mechanism or the provider’s applicable safeguards.

7. Retention

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose above, including support, security, dispute and legal-record needs. Declined pilot requests without product-update consent are normally deleted within 90 days after review. Pending and invited records are retained while needed to administer the pilot. Marketing stops when consent is withdrawn; limited contact and preference evidence may remain where needed to honour that choice or meet legal obligations. Infrastructure providers may retain their own security logs according to their documented schedules.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; receive portable information; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use.

Email support@crathesaudio.com to exercise a right or withdraw product-update consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful use or your separate pilot request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Material changes will be published here with a new version date. The version above describes the website as it operates on that date.
